Sheer casual

I like Fridays. It feels like weekend and if you are meeting friends for a drink after work, when you wake up next day you still have two days of freedom left :)

Lubie piatki. Jest juz troche weekendowo a jesli spotykasz sie ze znajomymi po pracy, po przebudzeniu nastepnego dnia rano zdajesz sobie sprawe, ze masz jeszcze cale dwa dni wolnosci :)

This is my take on casual evening with friends. If I'm going straight after work I would take my jeans to change into (work doesn't allow jeans).

To moja propozycja na niezobowiazujacy wieczor ze znajomymi. Jesli wychodze od razu po pracy to zabieram jeansy do torby i przebieram przed wyjsciem do baru.

Work it (part II) - z dedykacja dla Pani Olgi ;)

First thing I have to mention on this post is that my "working" pics were inspired by one of my best friends - thank you Pani Olgo ;))

Today's outfit is probably one of my favourite looks when it comes to work wear and there is couple of reasons for it:

• I love cropped peg leg trousers. They suit anyone and if worn with heels they have an amazing power to make your legs look longer and slimmer. They show off the thinnest part of your leg (ankle) and look smart, chic and kind of cool :)
• semi-sheer top shows off a bit of skin in a very understated way and those ruffles running all the way down hide loads of sins :)
• last but not least cardigan - I am in love with cardies. I could list whole load of pros but just to tell you about the one pictured - love the length, 3/4 sleeves and the fact that it looks equally good with jeans and as part of more smart outfit.

Nail It

Oh how I love my nail varnish collection! I got around 30 different bottles with all colours of the rainbow and more. And it's great fun to come up with different ways of using them on my nails.

Here's something I made earlier ;)




Jak ja uwielbiam moja kolekcje lakierow do paznokci! Mam okolo 30 buteleczek we wszystkich kolorach teczy i wiecej i bardzo lubie wymyslac rozne sposoby malowania i dekorowania paznokci.

A oto efekt mojego wymyslania :)

And here's what I used:

For base colour I used two coats of BarryM Mushroom (yes, it matches my bedroom wall :) ) and gold stripe on top is also BarryM Instant Nail Effects Gold Foil.

To be honest I really can't see much of a difference between varnishes for £3 -£4 and the ones that will cost you three times as much. If you like changing colours often than there's no point spending money on expensive little bottles.
And price doesn't always reflect durability of varnish either. If you want your colour to last longer and chip-free make sure that you apply good base coat (and ALWAYS ON DRY, GREASE-FREE NAILS! ). And then just get colour and design happy :)




Szczerze mowiac nie widze wiekszej roznicy pomiedzy lakierami za 10 zl a tymi, ktore kosztuja cztery razy tyle. Jesli lubisz czesto zmienaic kolory wtedy nie ma wiekszego sensu wydawania fortuny na te male buteleczki.
Poza tym wysoka cena nie zawsze oznacza trwalosc lakieru. Jesli chcesz by lakier utrzymal sie dluzej musisz zawsze pamietac o uzyciu dorbrej jakosci bazy (base coat) oraz o tym, ze przed malowaniem paznokcie musza byc suche i pozbawione jakiejkolwiek tlustej powloki (krem, olejki do paznokci itp).

Work it

Workwear is always a bit tricky. If you don't have a uniform and are not allowed to wear your casual, everyday clothes choosing something every morning that looks professional yet stylish might be a bit of a pain.
My work dress code is not very strict but we still have no jeans policy and are obliged to look somewhat presentable. So here is one of my choices. More to follow.

Mad hatter

And here we are, 2012 finally arrived. How was your New Year's Eve celebrations? We spent it with our friends and it was a lovely night. Thanks guys!

I never do new year's resolutions. I simply want to avoid the disappointment when I don't manage to keep them about one week into January. It's just easier that way :)

However, this year I did make a little deal with myself - to wear heels and bright lips more often. That should be easy to keep ;) And then I walked into H&M and saw that hat. I never wear hats, not in winter not in summer. But I fell in love with this hat immediately and decided that I might actually change my mind about certain type of headgear.
